Less than two weeks ago I found myself bouncing around on the deck of a small boat in the ocean waters off the coast of Canada with some of my favorite people in the world. I was wet and cold (and maybe just a bit seasick) but that morning will likely go down as one of the most memorable events in my life.

You see, a group of us had gathered at the home of Liz & Aaron Parkinson to celebrate with them some significant milestones in their life. It should come as no surprise to those of you who have attended one of our Master Marketing Events, which are creatively envisioned, meticulously planned and perfectly executed by Liz (our own in-house Events Planner), that their hospitality during this celebratory weekend was nothing short of spectacular.

Even so, when we found ourselves on a privately chartered whale-watching excursion none of us really had any idea what to expect. We had been warned – none of the excursions the day before even saw a whale. But an hour and a half out through choppy waters we spotted plumes of spray from a pod of five whales moving through the area. Our boat was joined by a handful of other whale watching companies as we turned off our engines and watched these beautiful animals from afar.

Prohibited by law from approaching any closer than 100 meters, we relished the half hour spent slowly and carefully tracking this pod without infringing upon them. But then, suddenly, the pod turned our direction and as their black and white bodies arced out of the water it quickly became apparent that they were headed straight for our boat.

In what seemed like mere seconds the whales arrived at the stern of our boat, surfaced within a few feet of us, dove under the boat and emerged on the other side with a spray of water out their blowholes.

Standing on the rainy deck of a boat rocking on rough waters it was nearly impossible to comprehend in the moment the significance of what was taking place as these whales literally swam up to us and checked us out.

Looking back, though, there are a couple of things I’ll carry with me forever. First, the reaction of our “naturalists”, two young women well educated on the marine life in the area who served as our guides. As the whales swiftly approached our boat they were giddy with excitement, bouncing on their toes and clapping. In the years of taking tourists out to experience the whales, never had they had such a close encounter. It was the highlight of their career.

And then there’s Liz & Aaron. Our whale encounter was the cherry on top of a perfect weekend they’d spent months dreaming about and planning for. If we’d gone whale watching and not even spotted a fish it would still have been an experience to remember, but for their celebration to culminate with a once-in-a-lifetime face-to-face encounter with whales … well, it was like all of nature joined in the celebration with a big old wet pat on the back.

I’m really struck today with how much joy there is in celebrating other people’s wins. Sure, the whale encounter was cool for my family and me and we will cherish that memory for a lifetime. But sharing equal weight in my memories is the sheer joy of watching our naturalists jump up and down with total child-like enthusiasm and seeing the glowing satisfaction on Liz and Aaron’s face as they realized they had created the perfect celebratory weekend.

Imagine what the world would look like if every time we saw someone succeed we used any feelings of jealousy as a catalyst to redouble our efforts to make our own lives more successful.

“Wow, Thanks”: were the words I used when I was asked to be the Spotlight Member for March. I am truly honored for this recognition. I have been with CarbonCopyPRO since the initial launch in October 2007, and wow what a ride it has been! I have been recognized by CarbonCopyPro in numerous ways, but this is just such a great honor.

My story is similar to so many. I was a struggling law enforcement officer who was looking for a better way. Working 60-80 hours a week in a fulltime job, commuting an hour each way to and from work, and also had a part time job on weekends. My wife Ronda was and is, a stay-at- home Mom to our children Gabi and Niko. I had no experience in Internet marketing at all and no idea what or how I was going to get it all done.

Putting this all together and getting going with CarbonCopyPRO has been a lifesaver for me. The training and resources that are available to us here are second to none. The system is set up and designed so that the average (By the way if you are here reading this, you are FAR above average) person can come in here and get the education that they require to be a professional marketer, both online and off. The motto for CarbonCopyPRO has become “Teaching anybody, to market anything, to anyone, anywhere” and this could not be more the truth.

CarbonCopyPRO has the best leadership and management team in this industry. We also have the best group of marketers anywhere who are more than willing to come out on the many training calls and share their methods and what they are doing to be so successful. I am a member of the MMG (Millionaire Mastermind Group) which is small leadership board here in CarbonCopyPRO, and what a great group it is. I have begun to take on some additional roles in the CarbonCopyPRO community as well and love every chance I have to Give Back…….That is what it is all about.

Thanks to Jay and Aaron for their vision to create this amazing community and to continue to put in the resources to see it grow. Thanks to John “JJ” Jackson for his leadership here, I have been friends with JJ for a long time, but honestly have never felt closer to him, he is a true Gentle Giant, with a Huge heart, that simply has the desire to assist people and I have be so lucky to have him on my team.

By the way, they are the reason I am here. Take a look at the picture here. This is what I enjoy doing is spending time with my family and I did not have that opportunity in my old way of life.

Let me begin by saying what an honor it is to be recognized as the CarbonCopyPRO Member Spotlight this month. In short, the last 8 months have changed my life completely.

When I found this opportunity in June of 2009 I had no experience whatsoever with marketing, or the online marketing industry for that matter. I was a second year nursing student, with like most students, no semblance of financial freedom. I was working 40 hours a week at the local hospital. One day coming home dead tired after a long days work, I asked myself: “Is this really what you want to do for the rest of your life?” A nurse’s pay is lousy, the hours and the work are tiresome. The coming lifestyle of constant financial worry was not for me. Something needed to be done!
